MARSHA: Adorable little girl - in need of home. She's holding her purrs for YOU
!

I am writing to tell you about one of our "long term" dogs at PAWS. Her name is
Brandy and she has been at PAWS for about 5 years total. She was adopted
out once a few years ago, and returned as she was "too aloof." All she really
wants is an adult home (no kids please) with a fenced in yard in which to
stretch her tired legs. It breaks my heart to know how long she has been
waiting. She is a sweet girl, and would be a wonderful pet for the right people.
She would be a true rescue for anyone out there who has a heart big enough to
take her in. Please pass on to all of your contacts. Contact person: Blake
Polett,
203-750-9572 x103,
blake@pawsct.org

busy highway, far from any shelter, all by herself. She was in very bad shape
when she came to Animalkind, but has almost completely recovered. We think she
was born in early August

TIGI: This little female is about 10-12 weeks old. Shy and gentle, she
longs for more attention

BILLY: 5-month old tiger tabby male. He was left behind by his "family"
and is very gentle and shy, but longing for attention.

home.

LARRA: Stunning, sweet girl, only 8 months old. She needs a loving home

LUCY: She can be very affectionate when in the mood and will approach
when wanting to be rubbed/scratched. Sometimes she even gets brave and jumps
onto a lap for individual attention. Lucy is independent and doesn’t require a
lot of attention. She is looking for a home where she doesn’t mind alone time as
long as she has the essentials, including an available window. Please consider
giving this sweet girl a try. Good with cats and dogs. If interested, please
contact Charlotte White at 477-4409

MAC BETH: Female tuxedo kitty, 7 mo. young and a real lover girl!

SILVESTER: Long haired Tuxedo male kitty -- full of love and spunk

Chloe: Basset mix, Medium, Female, Adult, age 5, is as sweet as she is
silly looking. She was raised with and is great around small children, cats and
other dogs. Her last humans moved out leaving a "Free Dogs" sign on the fence of
the yard where Chloe and her dog friend Buster had been living alone for weeks
receiving food and water under the fence from a neighbor who has known the dogs
all their lives. Thankfully they have made it into foster care. If you think you
might want to adore this dear girl for the rest of her life, please call her
foster mom Julia at 646-429-8882. It can't but put a smile on your face to see
what joy she takes in life even though the universe has given her a few
mismatched body parts. Julia Nichols Prem 646-429-8882 http://www.JuliaNicholsPrem.com

convenience store near Bell’s Pond in Columbia County, NY, very likely dropped
off to fend for himself. He has a wonderful disposition and will make some lucky
person a fine loving companion

KIMMIE: This gentle female was rescued by a kind lady after she heard a
motorcycle make a sudden stop and then departure. We think KIMMIE was hit and
thrown to the side of the road, where she was rescued. Her wound is much better
now, and will heal quite quickly with continued medical attention at Animalkind.
It won’t be long before she will be ready for her permanent home.

JANINE: Another sweet kitty from the homicide site (see story at
http://all-creatures.org/ak/stories-what-20080730.html ). This little calico

because he is so docile and friendly, and he is anxiously hoping for his
permanent home. He is about 3-4 years old and is getting to be a really big guy!

cat, but surprisingly soft and gentle. She is estimated to be about two years
old, and very loving. She would make a wonderful addition to your sofa!

cuddle on your lap.

Animalkind Inc. is a not-for-profit welfare, protection, rescue, rights organization dedicated to the compassionate care and humane population control of abandoned, feral and stray cats in Hudson, New York (Columbia County) and the surrounding area. We promote non-lethal prevention of an unwanted litter or litters of kittens through trap, spay, neuter, release (return), (tnr, TNR). An altered cat or kitten is released into a managed colony. Felines living in such colonies are assured kind daily care. Adoption to homes providing love and care for cats and kittens is encouraged. We also provide low or no cost spaying and neutering assistance to low income pet owners and help increase public awareness and education through the media, special events, and publications to promote compassion, respect, and kindness towards all animals.
